Hello friends! As many of you know, Neil and I have had a roommate the past 5 months. Our friend Molly has been living with us as she finishes up her nursing program, and today was her last day of class. Congratulations to Molly, R.N.!

Oh, and did I mention she is lovely?
We will miss you, Molly. Specifically, I will miss late-night runs to get yummy treats, planking on portable bathrooms, sharing meals, spontaneous bursts of song and dance, watching you and Murphy chase each other down the hall, sharing things we’re learning and being challenged by, and introducing you to the best movies of the 90s.

Good luck, Molly! There will always be a bed (and closet) for you in the Barley house!

Hello friends! Did you all have wonderful holiday weekends?? Neil and I hosted a Thanksgiving meal on Wednesday last week for my parents. It was wonderful to cook for them for a change. We made several tried and true family favorites and tried out a couple new ones (like balsamic-glazed root vegetables with dried cherries and feta… mmm…). It was a delicious meal, and it was wonderful to share it with Neil and my parents.
I love a pretty table, and I was happy to set mine with my favorite handmade pottery (from Hofman Studios) and mix-n-match napkins (from toxo-philite)…

Oh, and I barley-fied the bottles of wine…

I hope you all had excellent Thanksgiving weekends!

Happy Thanksgiving, friends!
Neil and I have much to be thankful for. It is our second Thanksgiving in small-town middle Georgia, and we have experienced God’s provision and rich blessings here in ways that we didn’t expect. God is always sovereign, always good and always worthy of our praise and thanksgiving.
I hope your holiday is a beautiful celebration of the many blessings in your life, and that you get to eat yummy food with the people you love most.
xo friends!

Tomorrow, my childhood friend Laurel is getting married! As a small tribute to her awesomeness, I thought I would share some of my favorite, classiest photos of her…

I love witnessing the marriages of my friends. It is a sweet blessing to grow up and see the girls I love marry wonderful men and be so happy!
Happy Wedding to Laurel and Jeremy!

Hello friends! Looking for a useful/handmade gift for a friend? A Darling Day‘s birthday calendar is a perfect way to remember important dates year after year!

Each month has a list organized by day. Fill in important dates (birthdays, anniversaries) and re-use every year. It’s a great way to consolidate every date you want to remember into one location… no more copying dates every year into a new calendar or day planner!

Checking facebook is usually pretty uneventful… Billy is watching football, Susie just got a pumpkin latte at Starbucks and Betty posted a new photo of her dog. But today I found a lovely surprise on facebook.
The NotWedding was featured today on one of my favorite wedding blogs, Wedding Chicks, and they published photos of my book-page paper flowers and embroidered invitations! Do you remember them…

Ah, today is a good day. I might go get a pumpkin latte…
